| Janice has been with the UCLA Computer Science Department's Laboratory for Advanced Systems Research (LASR) since 1994. She is an assistant to principal investigators Dr. Gerald Popek, Dr. Peter Reiher, and Dr. Leonard Kleinrock. In this position, Janice is responsible for the administration of contracts and submission of proposals; financial forecasts and expenditure calculations; overview of quarterly, annual, and final contract-required reports; editing and rewrite of all reports, technical papers and graduate student M.S. and Ph.D. theses; coordination with program managers, monitors and contracting agencies to ensure the successful completion of government agency and private industry contracts and grants. |
| Prior to joining LASR, Janice worked for a
major aerospace
company and for several small software development companies. She holds
a bachelor's degree (English literature) from Loyola-Marymount
University,
and for several years was the editor for Cascade Pass, a Los
Angeles-based publisher of children's books. |
