     I am currently enrolled in the PhD program at the Computer Science Department in UCLA. My research interests are in the areas of distributed and ubiquitous systems and computer networks. In the past, I have worked in the areas of active networks and computer security as well.

     I joined UCLA in September, 2001. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate study in Computer Science (for a B.Tech degree) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in India. I am now a member of the LASR (Laboratory for Advanced Systems Research) research group. My adviser is Dr. Peter Reiher.

     Aside from my academic activities, I am a huge sports buff. Some of my favourite sports include cricket, soccer and tennis. Other than sports, I love to explore new places, and like to go hiking as often as I can . History (ancient, medieval and modern) is another of my favourite subjects.
